The Monroe County Extension Office is working with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife to provide residents with a CWD dropoff site.

The freezer to drop off your sample is at the back of the Extension Office.

🍂Natural Resource Day Camp!🦌

We had an awesome day with the Monroe County 5th graders!

Today they got to learn about identifying wildlife, identifying trees, backcountry camping, fishing, water safety, soil conservation, and archery!

A huge thanks to all of our partners and presenters from Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Rescources, Natural Resource Conservation District, KY Division of Forestry, The Bow Shop & Archery Coaches and all of the Extension personell involved. Also a big thanks to the Monroe County School System for trusting us with the students.

🔥🐮2026 FARM TO FORK!🐖🔥

We are excited to announce the 2026 Farm to Fork information!

-When: September 29th at 6:00p.m.

-Location: Monroe County Farmers Market Pavilion (next to the extension office)

-Tickets (only 150 available): $35 per adult, $12 for kids 10 & under, purchase tickets at the Monroe Co. Extension Office at 288 Commerce Dr. Tompkinsville.

-Meal Provided by local producers and proceeds go to Monroe County 4-H Camp and Scholarship Fund to support local 4-H programming.
