Join us September 17 at 11 a.m. in TECH (Building 25, Room 115) for a screening of “The Words That Built America.” Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, the film features readings of the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights by lawmakers, celebrities, and children, offering a unique way to reflect on the words that shaped our nation. New semester, new possibilities!

Our faculty and staff came together for this year's Fall Colloquium, centered on the theme "Pathways and Possibilities in an Evolving Landscape." The day brought our campus community together to connect, reflect, and collaborate as we look toward the future and kick off the fall semester.

A morning highlight was hearing from Gillian Ober, 2025–2026 New Jersey State Teacher of the Year, who shared insights on the experiences, opportunities, and unexpected turns that shape our educational and career journeys.

We also welcomed alumni Tracey Maksel, Steve Allaire, Andrew Clayton, and Elizabeth Macchioni for a panel discussion on the positive role OCC played in their journeys.

Getting ready for the Fall semester? The OCC Bookstore has you covered! 📚📖

The Bookstore will have extended hours next week to make it easier to grab everything you need before classes begin. The Bookstore will be closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day, open Tuesday, September 8–Thursday, September 10 from 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and Friday, September 11 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Starting Monday, September 14, Bookstore hours will be Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
