Style and Inspiration Kehinde Wiley best known for his 2018 official presidential portrait of Barack Obama. This piece is part of the exhibition Colorful Realm The work draws direct inspiration from Japanese nature paintings of the Edo period (c. 1600–1868), specifically referencing Itō Jakuchū’s Images of the Colorful Realm of Living Beings. Our instructor designed a project from their field trip and our wonderful student we couldn’t be prouder of all the inspired work created ✨
