WE DID IT! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
600 boxes of books packed and ready for pick-up! The library is empty! Thanks Krista and Camille!
Hope you've enjoyed all the UConn Torrington posts! Friday is my official last day of work with the university (still can't incorporate 'retirement' into my vocabulary!)

Five days into the packing...stamp the books "DISCARD", load them into the boxes...slap on the UPS labels and cart to the front of the building for pick-up! So far we've stacked 11 batches of 39 boxes for pick-up! AND that would be? 429 boxes of books!
Phew - the downstairs shelves are about empty, now we have to head up to the mezzanine! Gonna be pretty warm up there! Our deadline is Friday, July 29!!! Think we can do it?

TORRINGTON >> Beginning Monday, June 13, a new CTTransit bus route, the 410 - Torrington – Waterbury Flyer, will operate Monday – Friday from 5:45 a.m. – 8:45 p.m. Regular local fare is $1.50.

Therapy dog, Jessie and her trainer Kathy, arrive on campus to visit with students between exams! This sweet-tempered German Shepherd loved all the attention along with the 'doggie treats' from the students!

Stressed during final exam week?
Not at the Torrington Campus! Not only can students interact with the amazing therapy dogs that visit our library, but they get to enjoy coffee and donuts, along with 'coloring sheets' and the most popular relaxing fun??? Popping sheets of bubble wrap! Now that's a sound to sooth anyone's nerves! Good luck to all the students this week! Ace those exams!
