At our first family dinner, we got to hear from AMS students about their summer research. Gavin Gao '19 travelled to Croatia and Bosnia to study historical sites along the Adriatic coast. Erin Hoffman '19 was a research assistant for Dr. Jim Smith, Vice President of the Rockefeller Archive Center and Colgate alum, as he worked on Colgate's Bicentennial History Project. By analyzing Colgate's historical records Erin helped piece together a comprehensive history of the University with a personal emphasis on music education and activities.

Today is my last day in the fellowships office :( I am going to miss helping you apply for AMS project grants and planning fun AMS events. You are an amazing group of students and are all going to go on to do great things. I'll be working in the admissions office so hopefully I'll still see you around campus! Please feel free to stop by this Fall to say hi! Enjoy your summer! - Renee
