TU Biological Sciences

TU Biological Sciences Department of Biological Sciences @ Towson University We are dedicated to providing the highest quality educational experience for all students.

The Department of Biological Sciences has a focused commitment to student education in synergy with internationally recognized research programs. We strive to be on the cutting edge of the successful integration of teaching and research in a broad diversity of biological disciplines. Through teaching, research and mentoring we provide a learning environment that transforms students into well-infor

med citizens and prepares them for a broad range of career paths. We continue to expand our research capabilities while retaining a strong focus on student participation in research and development of partnerships within and outside of the university. Our students pursue careers as biologists in the public and private sectors, or graduate studies in biology, medicine, dentistry or medically oriented fields, including optometry, pharmacy, podiatry or veterinary science. Our alumni include teachers, basic and applied research scientists, environmental biologists, doctors, geneticists, conservation biologists, wildlife biologists, foresters, fisheries scientists, pollution control agents, and marine biologists, just to name a few.
