NMC is fortunate to have a solid slate of candidates to become NMC Trustees. The NMC Faculty Association would like to share our endorsements.
Kenneth Warner: Mr. Warner’s long tenure as an instructor and administrator at the University of Michigan gives him perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing higher education in our state. We appreciate his support of faculty, his enthusiasm for NMC’s programs, and his commitment to diversity.
James Perra: Mr. Perra, a community college grad and former union firefighter, brings a newcomer’s energy to his support of our NMC community. We appreciate his advocacy for students, the arts, diversity, and a living wage.
Laura Oblinger: Ms. Oblinger is a Traverse City native and NMC alum with strong ties to business and nonprofit leaders from across the community. We appreciate her understanding of our local economy and her commitment to the NMC Foundation.

Rachel Johnson (incumbent): Ms. Johnson has established herself as an engaged, curious, and passionate member of the Board of Trustees. We appreciate her dedication to learning how the institution works and her commitment to its growth.
Vincent Cornellier: Mr. Cornellier has extensive experience in secondary and postsecondary education, as well as in health care. His connection to these key constituencies, including Munson, would bring an important perspective to the board.
