MSU College of Human Medicine Traverse City Campus MSU CHM Traverse City Campus is one of seven community campuses. We provide medical students from US 10 to the Mackinaw Bridge.

Each year we have 12 medical students enter in their third year of medical school with us and also have 12 fourth years.

With COVID-19, many medical offices have had to use the telehealth systems to reach their patients, but in rural Michigan many areas do not have broadband access to support these systems.

Kelly Hirko is an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Bio-statistics in the College of Human Medicine at the Traverse City Campus. Kelly added commentary in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association by talking about the disparities in health status for rural America.

One more to add is Dr. Julie Ngoc Thai, MD, Class of 2017 was featured in the STFM Foundation Newsletter as "Our North Stars: Inspiration Through Our Best and Brightest".
