✨ Rooted in Success at NCMC! ✨

NCMC celebrated National First-Generation College Celebration Day with a Rooted in Success event hosted by the First Gen Club and TRIO SSS! Students, faculty, and staff stopped by Geyer Hall to enjoy root beer floats, connect, and celebrate what it means to be First-Gen.

💬 “It’s awesome to see everyone support First-Gen students,” said Jessika Kennedy, First Gen Club Vice-President.

💬 “First-gen students are such a big part of what makes NCMC special,” added Angela Heins, SSS Assistant Director.

Yesterday we celebrated with NCMC First Gen Club for National First Gen Student Day! We welcomed first gen and all other students and staff to celebrate with us on the first floor of Geyer Hall! It was so much fun!

Congratulations to Lauren Krohn and Kaylor Farris for winning our drawings! A big thanks to NCMC Bookstore, Lauhoff Jewelry, and Hy-Vee for contributing to these wonderful prizes!

The theme is PIE for First Gen Club Game Night! ANY (first gen or not!) NCMC Students are invited! Come to Geyer hall 104 (SSS at NCMC) next Monday, November 20th to enjoy some yummy Thanksgiving desserts and surely some good laughs as well!
