A piece of NCMC history is officially in the ground!

On September 8, students, employees, trustees, alumni, and community members gathered at Shakespeare’s Rock for NCMC’s Time Capsule Burial Ceremony, marking the close of our Centennial Celebration and preserving a snapshot of campus life in 2025–26 for future generations.

Before the capsule was sealed, attendees had the opportunity to view the collection of artifacts and sign a commemorative table runner that was placed inside. From Centennial memorabilia and campus publications to photos, letters, student organization memories, and more, the capsule tells the story of NCMC at this moment in time.

As Student Senate President Crista Perry shared, “As we put away a little piece of 2026, we’re also leaving behind a little piece of our time here.”

The time capsule will remain sealed until September 2050, when a future generation of Pirates will gather to discover what we left behind. ❤️🏴‍☠️

Here’s to honoring our first 100 years—and looking ahead to the many chapters still to come!

In observance of Labor Day, North Central Missouri College will be closed today. Classes and regular campus operations will resume tomorrow, September 8.

Labor Day is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions, dedication, and hard work of workers throughout our communities and across the country. We’re especially grateful for the faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members whose work makes a difference every day.

We hope our Pirate community enjoys a safe and relaxing Labor Day! ❤️🤍💙

🏴‍☠️ Preserving NCMC history for the future!

Join us Tuesday, September 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Shakespeare’s Rock on the NCMC Main Campus for a special Time Capsule Burial Ceremony.

Following our Centennial Celebration, NCMC will seal a new collection of memories and artifacts representing life at the College today. The time capsule will remain underground until September 2050, when a future generation of Pirates will uncover this piece of NCMC history!

📸 Scavenger hunt success!

Students in College Seminar took their learning outside the classroom this week with a scavenger hunt around campus! Along the way, they visited different offices and spaces, met some of the people who are here to support them, and got a better feel for where to find resources on campus.

We love seeing our students out exploring campus, making connections, and becoming more familiar with their NCMC community! ❤️🖤

Congratulations to NCMC’s 2026-2027 Student Senate Executive Team!

NCMC students have elected Crista Perry of Salisbury, Missouri, as Student Senate President for the 2026-2027 academic year. Joining Crista on the executive team are Max Heintz, Vice President, and Kenzie Milligan, Secretary. Additional Student Senate representatives will be elected throughout the semester.

As President, Crista is looking forward to helping more students find ways to connect and get involved at NCMC. 🏴‍☠️

“We want students to know about the many opportunities available to them and help them find organizations, activities, and experiences that match their interests,” Crista said.

Student Senate plays an important role in representing the NCMC student body, providing input on campus initiatives and supporting student organizations and clubs. This year, the group is also giving students new ways to share feedback directly with their representatives.

👏 Congratulations to Crista, Max, and Kenzie! We’re excited to see their leadership and the impact Student Senate will make this year.
