Congratulations to Quentin Barclift of Pattonsburg, MO, NCMC’s Outstanding Student for June!

Quentin is an A+ scholarship student pursuing an Associate in Arts in Business and plans to graduate in May 2027 before transferring to Truman State University to earn his bachelor’s degree in business.

At NCMC, Quentin works in the Alexander Student Center and with Great Western Dining, and will serve as a Residence Assistant this fall. He is also active in Geology Club (Vice President), Phi Theta Kappa, and First Gen Club.

Meet Kasey Bailey (Class of 2005, Associate in Arts), who shares how NCMC has influenced generations of his family for nearly a century. From his grandfather, Bob Bailey, who attended Trenton Junior College to play basketball under Coach C.F. Russell, to parents, siblings, and cousins who benefited from TJC/NCMC, Kasey’s story reflects the lasting impact of accessible education across multiple generations.

Kasey credits NCMC with creating opportunities that have shaped his family’s educational and career paths, demonstrating how one institution can transform lives and strengthen communities for generations to come.

North Central Missouri College is proud to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of our students during the Spring 2026 semester.

322 students earned a place on the President’s List with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

232 students were named to the Dean’s List with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

The Surgical Technology Class of 2026 achieved a 100% pass rate on the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam—the first time in program history every graduate has earned certification on their first attempt. Even more impressive, all seven graduates have secured employment in the field.

🏴‍☠️ 100 Stories for 100 Years – Story #45 🏴‍☠️

As we celebrate our Centennial, we’re highlighting the stories of Pirates whose connection to NCMC has made a lasting impact.

Meet Kristi Harris, whose NCMC journey began through the dual credit program while still in high school. By earning a semester of college credit before graduation, she gained confidence and momentum that helped launch her educational and professional journey.

Kristi’s first “big job” was with NCMC’s Upward Bound program, where she found inspiring mentors, built lifelong friendships, and developed a passion for TRIO programs that remains with her today. Nearly 20 years later, she continues to serve students as NCMC’s Chief of Staff, helping create opportunities and life-changing experiences for others.

Kristi shares that NCMC was more than the start of her education—it was the launchpad for her career and a place she is proud to call home.

🎨 Congratulations to Jim Norris on being named Professor Emeritus at North Central Missouri College!

After 25 years of dedicated service to NCMC as an art instructor and director of the Doris Ryder Art Gallery, Jim Norris has been granted Professor Emeritus status in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the College, its students, and the arts.

Throughout his career, Jim inspired countless students through courses in Art Appreciation, Drawing, and Painting while helping cultivate a vibrant appreciation for the visual arts across campus and the community.

Thank you, Jim, for your years of dedication, creativity, and service. We wish you all the best in retirement and congratulate you on this well-deserved honor!
