Cowboy attitude:
Your arrogance is unteachable. No one will help you when you act like you know everything. Cockiness will not get you far when you start at the bottom. Professionals did not get to the top by acting like they know everything. They certainly didn’t get there talking trash about their competitors with their buddies and having nothing to show for it. They clawed their way to the top in silence. They didn’t have to show out to get people to notice them because people were already looking in their direction. A world champion is not made from an unteachable attitude. A world champion is made from someone who knows when to listen and get the help they need to grow their potential. You didn’t come into this world knowing everything so why do you act like it? A true cowboy and cowgirl doesn’t have to put on a show in front of everyone to be the “bad ass” in the room. No! A true cowboy walks into the room and everyone goes silent and listens to the wisdom he has to give. You do not know everything and you can learn from anyone. Your poor attitude will not get you to the top but it will get everyone to hate you and not respect you. If you believe that being disrespectful when someone tries to help you is going to get you to the top, then you are staying at the bottom. Respect is earned when you give it to those who try to help you. Earn your seat at the table with a closed mouth, opened ears and you will see the difference it has on your life. Cheat codes are all around you to make your way to the top faster but in order to get that information you have to listen and be teachable.

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of an amazing man. Sam Helms wasn’t just a trainer. He was the man you called when you needed help and he would always answer and show up. He was the man that never complained when there was work to be done but showed up and did it. He was a true friend, a brother and father figure for many. The Carolina Outlaws lost a family member that can not be replaced. Sam started his journey by practicing with us and it was history from there. He fell in love with the sport at the place where the Carolina Outlaws began and from that point forward he left his mark not only on our club and family but everyone he met in the sport. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time. May he ride on forever in heaven and watch over us all. Gone but never forgotten.

So here is the announcement. Yes we will be putting a couple of shoots on next year. We are finalizing a date at Lone Hickory Arena in Yadkinville and that will be published as soon as we get it finalized but the BIG News is this.......... We will be hosting a 2 Stage Warm Up match on Tuesday before the Appalachian Championship in Lexington Va. This will be your first opportunity to get in to the arena and shoot prior to the Championship. The number of riders will be limited due to time constraints. Tuesday is the official move in day for the Appalachian Championship so move in and get settled and we will start shooting at 1:00 that day. We will announce when the shoot opens up for registration soon. If you have any questions please reach out to Mike or Sabrina and we hope to see you at the shoots!
