On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the page for the Sorrell College of Business at Troy University. At the heart of what we do in the college is exemplified by our mission statement, to ..."prepare our diverse student body to become ethical professionals equipped to compete in the global business environment." This mission is carried out by

an extensive group of dedicated faculty and staff, which take great pride in fostering our students through a "culture of caring." We have a long history and tradition in getting to know our students on a personal level and carefully mentoring students throughout their time with us. As a graduate of the Sorrell College of Business, you will become part of an elite and very successful body of alumni. TROY alumni lead companies and communities not only in our state and region, but throughout the world. Also of importance to future students, is the focus the college places on internationalization—from the global scope of the curriculum to exciting study abroad programs. We view international activities as a foundational piece of meaningful business education in order to produce graduates who are prepared for the challenges of a globally competitive economy. In addition to student preparation and success, we make significant contributions to regional economic development through our exceptional research capabilities and "hands on" outreach programs that encourage entrepreneurship, facilitate trade and help businesses grow. Johnson Center for Political Economy, in the Division of Economics, provides a dynamic and rigorous education program focused on the moral imperatives of free markets and individual liberty, as well as relevant policy research on current and local issues.The Center for International Business and Economic Development and the Small Business Development Center conduct numerous seminars and workshops throughout the year addressing topics important to business owners. These Centers provide quality research and consulting services to businesses and organizations that truly contributes to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve. The college strives to continuously improve our online presences, as well as the information we provide to our visitors. I encourage you to explore all available academic programs, from our tradition-rich accounting degrees to distinctive programs such as Risk Management and Insurance and Human Resource Management. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Judson Edwards on his appointment as Interim Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Troy University.

Throughout his time as Dean of the Sorrell College of Business, Dr. Edwards has been a champion for student success, academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. His leadership has helped strengthen opportunities for our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners while both developing and advancing the mission and vision of the College.

We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved appointment. We thank him for his lasting impact on the Sorrell College and look forward to the positive impact of his leadership across Troy University.

This weekend, 26 TROY student entrepreneurs will set up at the annual TroyFest Art & Craft Festival in Downtown Troy.

On Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th, you can find these students at the Student-Made Store tent, alongside local artists from across the region as they gather to showcase their work and creativity.
