Join the Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus conducted by Brittney May for their spring concert, “Songs for the Journey” featuring music that reflects adventure, discovery, and the enduring pull of home. At the center of the program is Sir Edward Elgar’s delightful choral cycle “From the Bavarian Highlands” performed with the Diablo Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Owen Lee. This work, inspired by Elgar’s and his wife’s holidays in the Bavarian Alps, captures scenes from their travels including lively village dances, peaceful mountain chapels, alpine hunts, and evenings spent in warm company. Come experience a variety of contemporary and classical music that celebrates the wonder of travel and the joy of returning home!
