With seven undergraduate degrees and five graduate degrees, the University of Arizona College of Information Science prepares students to become changemakers across diverse fields, from artificial intelligence and data science to cybersecurity, and more. The School of Information, Arizona's 1st and only iSchool, is an academic department in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Arizona, Arizona’s only public land grant university. Our students are trained to become specialists in information management, data analysis, artificial intelligence, librarianship, social media marketing, and much more. We are preparing our graduates across disciplines to be doers, thinkers, solvers, and game-changers. The School of Information is a multidisciplinary department where faculty focus on the many aspects of information and its impact on society, using a variety of methodologies. Faculty focused on computational science and management information systems work side-by-side with those focused on issues of information behavior, and societal change. Our faculty conduct research in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, biodiversity informatics, data management and curation, computer vision, computer-mediated communication and learning, natural language processing, social networking, human-computer interfaces, dark networks, computational art and creation, library sciences, and much more.
