Happy Wednesday, Battalion, Family, and Friends!
This past weekend, the University of Arizona Midshipmen had the honor of participating in the University of Arizona’s Family Weekend by serving as part of the Color Guard during the football game. Our Midshipmen proudly represented the battalion while displaying the colors before the Wildcat community, families, alumni, and fans.
Opportunities like these allow our Midshipmen to demonstrate military bearing, discipline, teamwork, and respect for our Nation and the colors we serve while representing the Naval ROTC program and the University of Arizona.
We are proud of our Midshipmen who stepped forward to support this special event and carry on the traditions of service and ceremony.

SERVICE SELECTION | CLASS OF 2027
A major milestone for the University of Arizona NROTC Battalion.
Today, we proudly recognize the Midshipmen and Officer Candidates selected to serve in the United States Navy. Service selection marks the culmination of years of hard work, discipline, leadership, academics, physical training, and commitment to something greater than themselves. Congratulations to:
MIDN 1/C Luis Luzbert — Submarines
OC Wyatt Wisuri — Submarines
MIDN 1/C Michael Aragon — Surface Warfare Officer (SWO)
MIDN 1/C Ella Pickett — Surface Warfare Officer (SWO)
These selections represent more than a future job. They represent the beginning of a new responsibility: to lead Sailors, make difficult decisions, uphold the standards of the Navy, and serve with honor, courage, and commitment.
For the University of Arizona NROTC Battalion, this moment reflects what our program strives to build every day: capable leaders who are prepared to serve, lead, and make an impact beyond themselves. To our selectees, congratulations on earning this opportunity. Your journey does not end here. It is only beginning. The battalion is proud of you and looks forward to watching you lead in the years ahead.
BEAT NAVY.

Happy Wednesday, Battalion, Friends and Family!
Staying strong as the days go by. Starting the week with discipline, teamwork, and a willingness to push beyond our limits.
This Monday morning, our Midshipmen paired up with a partner and took on a workout built around accountability and endurance. The workout began with a 0.85-mile buy-in run before moving into the circuit:
30 push-ups
15 burpees
30 squats
30 flutter kicks

After each round, Midshipmen completed another 0.35-mile run around Hopi and Graham-Greenlee before returning to Bear Down Field and getting back to work. The cycle continued for 45 minutes. Partner PT is more than just completing reps. It is about holding each other accountable, pushing through the difficult moments, and building the teamwork required of future Navy and Marine Corps officers.

Every run. Every rep. Every round. Start strong. Stay disciplined. Finish together!

NROTC University of Arizona Marine Platoon | M-SULT
A strong foundation starts with the fundamentals.
This morning, NROTC University of Arizona Marine Platoon began M-SULT training, focusing on individual actions, hand-and-arm signals, squad tactics, and tactical decision-making.
Training is led by senior Midshipmen and Marines, who lead, guide, mentor, and train the next generation of Marines while continuing the mentorship passed down by those before them. Through classroom instruction, quizzes, practical exercises, and hands-on applications, Midshipmen develop professionalism, discipline, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail both inside and outside the classroom.
Today sets the foundation for building confident leaders and a cohesive team. Learn the fundamentals. Apply the standard. Build the team.

FOREX | Foreign Exchange Program

Happy Wednesday Battalion, Friends, and Family!
This summer, University of Arizona NROTC Midshipmen participated in the Navy’s Foreign Exchange (FOREX) program, an opportunity designed to provide Midshipmen with firsthand exposure to foreign naval forces, international maritime operations, and allied partnerships. During FOREX, Midshipmen travel overseas and engage with partner-nation naval personnel, gaining insight into their training, customs, operations, and maritime capabilities. The experience allows participants to better understand the importance of interoperability, communication, and professional relationships between the United States Navy and its international partners. Programs such as FOREX contribute to the development of well-rounded future Naval Officers by combining operational exposure, cultural exchange, travel, and professional education.

Happy Thursday, Battalion, Family, and Friends!
University of Arizona Midshipmen had the opportunity to travel and embark on a submarine cruise, gaining firsthand exposure to submarine operations, technology, shipboard life, and the teamwork required to operate beneath the surface. Experiences like this give future Naval Officers the opportunity to explore different Navy communities, learn directly from Sailors, build professional connections, and gain a broader understanding of the fleet and life at sea all while traveling and experiencing the Navy beyond the classroom. 🇺🇸🌊

Happy 1/C Friday, Battalion, family, and friends!

This week we are proud to honor MIDN 1/C Pait! She is receiving a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Minor in Military Science and Leadership. She will be reporting to Charleston, South Carolina as a Submarine Officer following graduation.

Her favorite memories from the unit are going underway for a couple days on the USS Kentucky for her 2/C cruise. “That was when I determined this was the path I wanted to take.”

Advice she’d like to share: “Always show up and always give your best effort.”
