Premature leaf drop can be a sign of disease, but this time of year it is likely the result of environmental leaf scorch while the tree is having a hard time taking up enough water to support all those leaves.

Yes, it's hot., but you can still plant some seeds if you keep them moist which means watering every day... Radish, beets, turnips, carrots, and Swiss chard seeds in the ground at our Seed to Supper Farm.
