Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that honors freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of equality.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were informed of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. This day is an important reminder of our nation’s history and the strength of those who continued to hope, endure, and fight for a better future.

As we reflect on Juneteenth, we honor the significance of this day and remain committed to creating spaces where every student, staff member, and community member feels respected, supported, and valued.

Fresh cuts, new skills, and a chance to give back.

Our Barber students recently volunteered at the Salvation Army, providing haircuts while gaining valuable hands-on experience working with a variety of hair types and textures.

We're proud of the way they represent Clary Sage College both in the classroom and in our community.

💈❤️ C.A.R.E.S in Action ❤️💈

Recently, Clary's Barber Department had the opportunity to volunteer at the Salvation Army, providing haircuts while serving members of our community.

This experience reflects what C.A.R.E.S is all about. Through collaboration with community partners, our students were able to apply their skills in a real-world setting while working with a variety of hair types and textures. Along the way, they strengthened their technical abilities, built confidence behind the chair, and experienced the impact a simple haircut can have on someone's day.

At Clary Sage College, we are committed to empowering students through hands-on learning while encouraging them to give back and make a difference in the communities they serve.
