✨ Join us in cheering on two of our graduate students as they compete for the title of Miss Alabama this week!

👑Beyond pursuing their MBAs, Hannah Adams and Kaitlin Glawson are making a difference in their communities.

As they compete in Miss Alabama this week, Hannah is advocating for pediatric cancer awareness through Hannah's Hope – Finding a Cure for Pediatric Cancer, while Kaitlin champions food security through the Full Plates Project – Ending Hunger One Meal at a Time.

We are proud to see these graduate students showcasing leadership, service, and talent as they compete alongside fellow University of Alabama students. Best of luck, Hannah and Kaitlin! 🐘❤️

First-Gen & Fearless ✨

From Colorado to the Capstone, Ciara Andrew found opportunity, community and a path she never imagined through the Accelerated Master’s Program at The University of Alabama.

While earning her bachelor’s degree in operations management, Ciara also began working toward her master’s — saving both time and money through AMP. Along the way, she’s represented Culverhouse as a first-generation student leader, served as a resident advisor and gained hands-on experience through an internship with McKesson Corporation.

“With AMP, I have the opportunity to accomplish something I never thought possible.”

May is National Inventors Month 💡—a time to celebrate the ideas and breakthroughs shaping the future.

At the University of Alabama, innovation is happening every day in labs across campus, where faculty and students work side by side to turn research into real-world impact. From new discoveries to emerging technologies, UA’s culture of collaboration is driving meaningful invention forward.

That momentum is reflected in UA’s growing patent activity and nationally recognized faculty inventors, including leaders in engineering and robotics pushing solutions from concept to commercialization.

One standout example is Dr. Vishesh Vikas and the Agile Robotics Lab, where research in soft robotics and bio-inspired systems has led to patented technologies like the “Second Spine” exosuit—now moving toward real-world application.

Still thinking about Spring 2026 graduation weekend 🎓

Let’s highlight our second and final GAIN Influencer graduate, Natalie Davis!

📍 Natalie is from Carrollton, Georgia, and earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama before continuing her education through the STEM Path to MBA Program.

📖 Graduating with her Master of Business Administration, Natalie served on the MBA Association Executive Council as a STEM Path to MBA Delegate and was also involved with the MBA Competition Case Team during her time in graduate school.

➡️ After graduation, she will be moving to St. Pete, Florida, where she plans to pursue opportunities in the retail buying sector.

💬 A message from Natalie: "Coming to The University of Alabama was the greatest choice my 18-year-old self could have ever made. I am a better student, worker, person, and friend because of this place! Roll Tide!"
