Kudos to Dr. Tennyson “T.J.” Smith, SSCC's Director of Customer Relationship Management, on being elected President-Elect of the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO)! Representing 14 states and one commonwealth, SACRAO is a leading regional higher education organization. Dr. Smith’s election is especially historic, as he will become the first Alabama community college representative to serve in this role, one of only six community college professionals to serve as SACRAO President since 1980, and only the second since 1998. Dr. Smith currently serves as Historian for the Alabama Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ALACRAO). Congratulations, Dr. Smith, on this outstanding achievement!

Shelton State will host two sessions of its Gourmet Greenhouse STEM Camp at the C.A. Fredd Campus this summer for students ages 9-18. The first session, designed for ages 9–12, will take place on June 22, while the second session for ages 13–18 will be held on June 29.
This one-day camp experience combines hands-on culinary activities with lessons in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Participation is free, but advance registration is required.
