As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in everyday life, libraries could play an important role in helping communities understand how it works, how it can be used and the ethical questions it raises.
Dr. Yuan Li, Dr. Bharat Mehra and Dr. Jack Lipei Tang have received a $199,994 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to explore how libraries can strengthen public understanding of artificial intelligence.
