Moundville Archaeological Park and Museum's Erinn Townsend will be reading "A Possum’s Tale" for little learners on May 29 from 9:15 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. A fun, hands-on craft inspired by the story will follow. This is a perfect way to spark imagination, build early literacy skills, and connect creativity with indigenous culture. This program is free with park admission and 5 and under are free.

Specimen Spotlight: Beautiful Beetles

Looking at the range of colors on these beetles, it’s hard to believe they’re all from the same species! These are all Psalidognathus friendii, which can be found in South America. They’re also members of the family Cerambycidae, known as longhorn beetles for their lengthy antennae.
