This past Friday we held the International Coffee Hour for East Africa! Guests were able to try Swahili Grilled Chicken, Kachumbari Salad, and Coconut Rice Pilau! Members of the UA community were also able to talk with the African Students Association and UA Museums to learn about upcoming events and opportunities to get involved! We hope everyone had a fun time! We hope to see you all on September 15th for Trivia Night and September 18th for Coffee hour! These events are available to all, with trivia nights taking place in B.B. Comer Hall Room 109 from 6-7:30 on Tuesdays and International Coffee Hour from 11:30-1 on Fridays in the Real Tide Engagement Commons.

We are so excited to host the second coffee hour of the semester this Friday! Thanks to our partnership with the Division of Student Life and Bama Dining, we are able to provide students with food, drinks, and community! This event will take place in the Real Tide Engagement Commons (Student Center 2100) from 11:30-1 pm and is open to everyone! Stop by this week to hear from our Sponsor UA Museums. Learn about exhibits and upcoming opportunities throughout the semester. Reminder: If you take a picture of yourself at the International Coffee Hour and show it to the hosts of trivia night next week, you can get a bonus point for your team! We look forward to seeing you there.

We hosted our FIRST Coffee Hour of the semester this past Friday featuring Bama! Members of the UA community had the opportunity to try some barbecue chicken, homemade mac and cheese, and coleslaw! Thanks to our amazing partners Bama Dining and Student Life who help us put in this event each week. Guests could also talk to the ELI office and Tuscaloosa International Friends (TIF) about resources on campus and in the city. We hope everyone will come to our Next coffee hour this Friday from 11:30-1pm and Trivia Night on Tuesday from 6-7:30pm featuring East Africa. See you there!

International Coffee Hour is Back!!! - THIS WEEK’S FOCUS IS ALABAMA

UA Student Center (Room 2100)

Join us from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Real Tide Engagement Commons (located in Room 2100 of The University of Alabama Student Center) for free coffee, tea, snacks, and great conversation with our friends from around the world.

Capstone International Center (CIC) and International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) hold International Coffee Hour in partnership with Bama Dining and Student Life.

ASA Unity Sports Day is Back On! - Soccer Match this Saturday, June 6

Cheer on Alabama ASA this Saturday!

ASA Unity Sports Day between ASA UA and ASA UAB which was postponed due to weather has been rescheduled for this Saturday, June 6, 2026, 10 am until 12 noon.

The match will be held at the UA Rec Center Football Pitch - https://map.concept3d.com/?id=1222 #!m/330386?share.

The event aims to promote social integration, networking, and community building among African students across neighboring universities.

The event will feature a friendly soccer match, along with card games and other light social activities.

All are invited!
