UA Evolutionary Studies Program

UA Evolutionary Studies Program The UA Evolutionary Studies (EvoS) program includes a 20-credit interdisciplinary minor and a student-led club.

The University of Alabama is now one of only four universities in the world to add an Evolutionary Studies (EvoS) minor to their undergraduate catalog. An EvoS club is essential in promoting a basic understanding of evolution.

We had a great turnout for at the Alabama Museum of Natural History! We showed the Pleistocene-Holocene flooding surface from Mobile Bay, giant oysters, corals, sea snails, and even microfossils from Thwaites Glacier, Antarctica! You can’t talk about the Pleistocene without talking about ice sheets & sea level!
