The Instructional Leadership for Nurse Educators Ed.D. program is designed to prepare practicing nurses for careers in higher education. The course of study helps develop the teaching and research skills necessary for effective faculty in university and college nursing programs. Because the majority of students are full-time nurses, coursework utilizes online instruction and weekend classes. Our c

onvenient weekend class schedule of one on-campus weekend in the fall and spring gives our students the option of continuing full-time employment while attending school. Through this collaborative effort, the Capstone College of Nursing and the College of Education seek to strengthen the future education of nurses and contribute to the improved quality of health care received by residents of Alabama, the Southeast region, and the nation.
