Congratulations to Maliha Kabir and A***n Anand for winning the first place in the UTTyler Business Model Canvas competition for presenting the HopBot as a Business Plan! Our HopBot project investigates bio-inspired techniques for an environmental sensing robotic framework. Both of them have done incredible work in building this concept to prototype and invested several hours in building this business plan. Well done ! Thank you Andy Alvarado and Brandon D. @ UT Tyler inaugurated our celebration with a captivating "Computer Engineering Kick-off panel," spotlighting esteemed industry experts. It was a pleasure hosting Dr. Amey Kulkarni from NVIDIA, Mr. Dennis McCain from AT&T, and Mr. Raum Pattikonda from Fluidlogic. The panelists offered valuable insights and experiences on the ever-evolving field of Computer Engineering and directions for our Undergraduate students to prepare for the job market. Thank you again to our panelists for accepting our invitation!

In this year STEM Like a Girl Engineering session, our Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CeRIS) demonstrated robotic arm, underwater robots, drones, and mini-robots for 50 middle school girls from East Texas. The students were excited to manipulate the robotic arm for lifting different objects.
Thanks to the team @ Discovery Science Place, Tyler, for inviting us to the Engineering session in the STEM Like a Girl event every year !!

We are excited to announce that UT Tyler’s College of Engineering was ranked 75th in the nation on the U.S. News and World Report’s 2022 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs list.

The College of Engineering has made the publication’s top 100 list for three consecutive years, rising this time from the previous ranking of 91. UT Tyler also ranked highest among Texas public institutions for undergraduate engineering programs. The rankings are based on surveys of deans and senior faculty members at peer institutions accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
