Congratulations!

We are proud to recognize Dr Rose Lange, pictured with her husband, as the recipient of the Lane Family Award for Nursing Faculty. This honor reflects her dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence in nursing education. Congratulations! 🩺

- A message from the nominating committee

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Rose Lange is the recipient of the Lane Family Award for Nursing Faculty. Dr. Lange has been a dedicated member of the SVSU nursing faculty since 2001, earning widespread admiration for her compassion, approachability, and commitment to student success across both undergraduate and graduate programs. Her versatile teaching spans face-to-face, online, clinical, and simulation settings, and she is especially recognized for broadening students' perspectives beyond hospital care to include community and population health. A true leader in nursing education, Dr. Lange has chaired both the undergraduate and graduate program committees and guided the nursing program through its most recent curriculum revision. Among her most celebrated contributions is a poverty simulation she has facilitated for over 15 years, enriching students' education across SVSU and positively impacting the broader community's understanding of those experiencing poverty. Beyond the classroom, she actively mentors graduate and doctoral students in their research and fieldwork, and her influence extends to the careers of colleagues she has guided and inspired. Dr. Lange's unwavering dedication to her students, her profession, and her community makes her a truly deserving recipient of this honor.
