Great SESA meeting last night discussing volunteer opportunities, study groups, and just making new friends. If you aren't involved in your majors RSO, you are truly missing out!

Rise and Shine it's Exercise Science time! This morning at approximately 5am your SESA members vaulted into the semester by running Aerobic capacity tests (VO2 max tests) on the SVSU Men's basketball team athletes! Great turnout for a tremendous learning experience utilizing what our fabulous kinesiology lab has to offer!

The second candidate for our lab coordinator is coming to campus Monday June 13th. The student session is 203p in H109.

We look forward to several students attending these sessions and providing feedback on the potential hires.

Hello SESA,

Beginning July 12th, Healthy U is bringing back the 5K Training Program for staff and faculty. It is a nine week training program that takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 6 pm. We're looking for volunteers to help coach a group of staff and faculty throughout the nine weeks of July 12th – September 8th. Volunteers will not have to be at every training session, but should be able to sign up for specific coaching days throughout the entire training program. At the coach's orientation, you will be able sign up for days that work with your availability.

Volunteer coaches will have an orientation prior to the first 5k training day, as well as receive guidance and mentoring throughout the training program. This orientation will be held on Tuesday, June 28th at 5:00 pm in Health and Human Services Rm 134. In addition to the experience of coaching and training, we will pay the volunteer's registration fee, up to $25, towards any 5k race of their choice.
If you would like to volunteer for this program, even if you are unable to attend orientation, please contact me at [email protected]

Thanks!
