The purpose of the fraternity is as follows: Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by re

search and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community. Each year Deltasigs participate in many professional development, fundraising, and community service events. Some of our largest efforts are Business Day, our golf outing, employment fairs on campus, and a collaboration with a community service group. Additionally, each semester, members get the opportunity to go to a provincial-level conference called LEAD which is designed to improve our professional skills, personal skills, and fraternity bonds as young adults pursuing careers in the business world.

As the semester comes to an end we say goodbye to our graduating brothers and reflect on all we have accomplished this 25-26 school year.

So here’s our recap:

🫶We held 5 different community service events including: card marking for hospital patients and veterans, blood drives, the girls on the run 5k, and a trunk or treat!

🕴️We hosted many different professional development events like our yearly faculty panel, career workshops, a DEI talk, financial literacy, risk management, and many more!

🌸We had so many fun social events: Trivia’s, speed friendship making, game nights, slideshow night, movie nights, and much MUCH more!

⭐️This year our chapter was able to learn and grow with the help of 4 different regional/national conferences. We attended GCC in Palm Springs, Presidents Academy in St. Louis and both LEAD school and conference in Cincinnati!

Thank you to our amazing officers who planed all our events and made this amazing year possible, our general member for always showing up and getting the most out of our experiences, and our representatives who traveled far and wide to better our chapter!

Tonight marked SVSU’s senior toast! A few brothers showed up to commemorate their time at SVSU. It’s an event to celebrate all the hard work our seniors have put in. Thank you to all of our graduating brothers for all your dedication to DSP! 🥂

This Monday, members of the Mu Phi chapter got to talk with SVSU Police Officer Manser about several things; including the effects of alcohol and ma*****na, the legality of it through the state and on campus. He provided all of us with pamphlets about various topics on drugs, violence, abuse, and even a self defense class you can sign up for tha is offered by the university. At the end, members asked many questions about anything they wanted!

Huge thank you to Officer Manser for taking the time to speak to up! We were grateful for the opportunity!

A few dsp brothers got the honor of being invited to the scott l carmona college of business academia awards ceremony! They got to hear from award winning local business leaders, and brother Jade and Mary were recognized for their work in the vitito fellowship. DSP had a poster commemorating our RSO and its achievements!

Last week, our members had the pleasure of having Dr. Jadallah Jadallah share valuable guidance on financial literacy! Dr. Jadallah shared his insights on various topics including retirement plans, internships, credit cards, investing, budgeting, and many more. This session provided real-world applications for current and future financial decisions.

A big thank you to Dr. Jadallah for taking the time to share your knowledge with us, and Rhiley for making this event possible!

🌸Our newest members hosted a spring social event for our chapter!

🌷This was a great way to get everyone together and build a closer relationship with our new members. Aubrey, Madeline, and Lily hosted such a fun event where we dyed Easter eggs and made paper flowers!

Spring break recap!!!

Let’s see where our brothers traveled this past week…

🇬🇷Aubrey went on a study abroad trip to Athens, Greece for global business! She visited the Parthenon as shown and many more historical landmarks!⚡️

🇲🇽Leah went on a cruise and got to visit four different and new locations including Mexico!🍋‍🟩

🇳🇱Mary and Jade studied abroad in Amsterdam! They got to see the city, visit businesses, and go to the Barbie exhibit there!
