October is Energy Efficiency Month!

Energy awareness is the theme of this month, with information on a variety of ways you can save energy, save money, and make your home more comfortable!

Check out the Will County Green website for more information on energy awareness and how you can get involved!

http://www.willcountygreen.com/

October is Energy Awareness Month. In Will County we have nuclear power, natural gas power, and an increasing amount of solar power on the roofs of businesses, schools, homes and a few farms. We encourage geo-thermal (used by JJC) to reduce energy demand and installation of energy efficiency products whenever possible.

The next time you come onto campus, check out the newly renovated cafeteria and dining area! In the cafeteria and dining area, you'll see new garbage and recycling cans made out of recycled milk jugs! The number listed on the side of the can is approximately how many milk jugs it took to make the new sustainable cans! How cool is that?! โ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿ’š
