Join the Penn State School of Music in the College of Arts and Architecture for Music in the Gardens, a free outdoor concert featuring the Penn State Symphonic Wind Ensemble at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at The Arboretum at Penn State, a unit of Penn State Outreach.

Conducted by Dr. Tonya Mitchell-Spradlin, director of Wind Band Studies, the ensemble will perform a diverse program surrounded by the beauty of one of Penn State’s most scenic venues.

Arrive early to enjoy food trucks beginning at 4 p.m., an instrument petting zoo in the Children’s Garden, and performances by students from the State College Music Academy throughout the Arboretum. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and gather with family and friends for an evening of music under the open sky!

The concert is free and open to the public.
The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 13.
