Dear LAGrASA members and friends,
A big thanks to all of you for your support during the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters.
We had wonderful moments on each one of the activities we organized and we feel very proud to be part of this community.
We are calling for nominations for officers for the next LAGraSA Board 2019-2020 and these are the available positions:
- President
- Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
OBS:
- Only full-time registered graduate students are eligible for office.
- You can also nominate someone
In addition to these positions, we want to invite people to sign up to participate in the next committees:
a) Cultural Events
LAGraSA’s main goal is to promote Latin American and Caribbean culture through the organization of different activities. These are some of the events the association organized in the last years:
- Welcoming Asado in Fall
- LAGraSA Tailgate
- Halloween/Dia de los Mu***os Celebration in Fall
- Spring Concert
- LAGraSA Lectures/Talks/Workshops
- Latin American Film Series in Spring
- Talent Night
b) Inclusion and Diversity
We believe this is an important area that needs attention. Therefore, we want to invite people to form a group to organize activities related to it. The group, together with the board, will define the activities and apply for funds.
c) Advisory Committee:
We have learned many things about how to run an association so we want to encourage former officers to be part of this advisory committee to help the new people.
