Founded in 1969, Governors State University is a four-year public university in Illinois, offering 64 degree and 24 certificate programs. Governors State University is the only public university in Chicago's south suburban area, serving approximately 7,750 students. GSU Admissions provides assistance to students in all phases of the application process. We also assist students get further acclimated on campus with open house and campus tours.
