Thank you – we did it!

I am deeply honored that the residents of the 28th district have once again placed their trust in me to represent our community in the Washington State Senate.

Thank you to everyone who voted, volunteered their time, made a donation, and stood up for our vision of a brighter Washington. Each and every one of you made a difference. I am grateful for your contributions to our democracy and community.

Together, we ran an inclusive campaign built on our shared values of justice, and of ensuring that each and every individual in our community has the opportunity to thrive.

As your representative in Olympia, I am proud to have the opportunity to continue advocating for this vision.

While we celebrate the results of this election, I know that many are still processing the results of federal elections. As Vice-President Kamala Harris said, it’s ok to feel sad and disappointed.

But in the coming weeks and months, we must be reminded that this is not the time to despair but to “...stay engaged for the sake of freedom and justice and the future that we all know we can build together.”

Thank you for placing your trust in our shared vision. Thank you for standing up for one another, for dignity, and for our democracy. And thank you for never giving up.
