Congratulations to Cadet Crum on completing Combat Survival Training at the Air Force Academy this summer! CST is a professional development training opportunity available to Air Force ROTC rising seniors. This 3 week program exposes cadets to various aspects of survival and evasion training including parachuting procedures, land navigation, wild food and water procurement, water survival, and more.
This program is one of several opportunities that our cadets participated in this summer and we will continue to bring you more updates on detachment summer activities as the summer comes to a close!

LLAB 12 is in the books! We started off with campus marching around the lovely campus of Ole Miss. We then did some GLPs so that IMT and FTP could collaborate and work together as a team to solve some difficult problems. Finally, a major congratulations to C/Crum for being selected for Wing Commander for the 2023 Fall Semester!!

On Thursday morning, Detachment 430 started out the day strong with a track workout for PT. We focused on gaining speed by running sets of 400, 800 and 1200 meter intervals. For LLAB we focused on drill by learning open ranks inspections and column movements.

On Thursday Detachment 430 started the day off bright and early with a great upper body PT session. Cadets who passed the PFA on Tuesday got their PTGs as well! In the afternoon at LLAB, IMT and FTP worked on some drill and finished off with a Warrior Knowledge quiz!

LLAB 1!

On Thursday, Detachment 430 had the first LLAB of the semester. This LLAB consisted of Cadre briefings and a pizza social to get to know the new cadets. We also recognized 22 cadets who received the Academic Ribbon and cadets who had outstanding GPAs from the Fall Semester. It was great getting to see everyone! Hotty Toddy!

During LLAB 9, cadets were briefed on and practiced flag folding procedures 🇺🇸. THIS LLAB also hosted a special guest, AFROTC Southwest Region Commander Allen R. Henderson! For their outstanding performance, Col Henderson presented cadre members Capt Bush and MSgt Lamphear with a special coin.

3-0 sweep during today’s Egg Bowl in Omega Strikers from our team! Final total score was 15-1!

Several other cadets also came out today to show support for C/Wright and the team.

C/Wright serves as a starting player for the Ole Miss Esports Omega Strikers team, a game he’s very passionate about. He also serves as the chairman and coach of the Halo Infinite team.
