te level Master’s Degree in Computer Science with practical applications in the advanced technical companies in the US. To learn about the requirements for the MS in Computer Science program for Computer Professionals, please visit our website at https://compro.miu.edu/apply/. Basically, you need to have a 3-4 year bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with some formal university programming, mathematics and data structures courses; a GPA of 3.0 out of 4, and international applicants need at least 6 months of full-time computer programming work experience. With a grade point average below 3.0 your application will be considered if there is strong professional work experience as a software developer, or you have graduated from a top level university (as ranked on the world scale). To be eligible for our Computer Science Master's program, you must have a working knowledge, and pass a test in one of the following programming languages: Java, C, "C plus plus", or "C sharp". We are looking for experienced software developers. However, for applicants with a minimum 3.5 out of 4.0 CGPA, the work experience requirement may be waived if you meet additional requirements (international students). Professor Asaad Saad, Director of the MS in Computer Science (ComPro) program at MIU, has over 12 years of industry experience, including work with Amazon Middle East and the Abu Dhabi Government. He has been teaching at MIU since 2015.

Just one week after completing our Career Center training, Marc Lennard successfully secured a paid practicum position as a software developer. He joined our Master’s in Computer Science (ComPro) program at MIU in the U.S. in January 2024.

Our student, David Davaatulga, from Mongolia, is currently doing his paid practicum work as a software engineer at PayPal. He joined our MS in Computer Science program at MIU in the January/February 2024 entry.
