Recapping recent Willamette alumni events! ⬇️
📷 1: On 5/30, more than 30 recent grads attended the first-ever Willamette Young Alum Party in Southeast Portland.
📷 2: On 5/10, Willamette University held graduation ceremonies in Salem and Portland, which included an alumni march attended by 12 Willamette graduates.
📷 3: On 5/17, Willamette alumni gathered for a night at the Tacoma Rainiers baseball game.
📷 4: On 5/1, PNCA alumni got together with creative writing Professor Bradshaw for a lecture, exercise and forum.
📷 5: On 5/9, Willamette Athletic Hall of Fame member, former director of athletics, football and baseball coach, Bill Trenbeath, had Willamette’s baseball field named in his honor in a dedication ceremony.

One of the highlights for many WU students was the Black Tie Affair.

The annual event was started in 1987, and pictured here is the 1992 Black Tie at the state Capitol, overlaid with a photo from this year’s at the Salem Convention Center.

How well do you know Goudy Commons? 🤔🍎

Goudy was constructed between 1991 and 1992 and hosts a variety of events, like Midnight Breakfast and Commencement Brunch. There are more than sixty part-time student workers and fifty full-time workers. Goudy’s is open to the general public, and one might even spot the odd politician or two from the Capitol while there for lunch!
