Project spotlight: Costa Farms in Florida 🌱

BioTherm recently designed and supplied a new hydronic heating system for nearly 180,000 square feet of greenhouse production space. The system delivers approximately 2.3 million BTU/hr of targeted heat through 34 heated growing areas across four greenhouse zones.

The installation features:
• Two RBI Boilers and Water Heaters Dominator boilers
• BioTherm DuoFin Lite™ under-bench heat distribution

Constructed from highly conductive, corrosion-resistant aluminum, DuoFin Lite provides efficient, even heat directly beneath the crop. Its low-mass design uses up to 80% less water than traditional steel pipe systems, allowing it to heat up and cool down quickly as greenhouse conditions change. That faster response helps growers maintain precise setpoints, reduce temperature overshoot and use energy more efficiently.

DuoFin Lite is also designed for quick installation, dependable performance in harsh greenhouse environments and a maintenance-free exterior—no rust and no painting.
