Illinois SORF The SORF Fund was established in 1978 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to support programs and activities. Instagram:

SORF is a mandatory $5.50 fee collected each semester from all UIUC students.The fee money is available for allocation to Registered Student Organizations that apply for funding from SORF. Fundable categories include contractual services including transportation and lodging expenses, film, equipment, rentals (facility, equipment, services) and publications/communications. SORF also provides financ

ial support to offset the cost of off-campus travel for educational, competitive, performance, and service experiences that are relevant to the organization’s mission. A funding board (SORF Board) comprised of elected students and appointed staff is responsible for allocating money generated from SORF fees to Registered Student Organizations.

We promised, we delivered. Here’s where allocated funding stands for the 2025–2026 Fiscal Year so far:

• Fall 1 2025: $156,674.26
• Fall 2 2025: $185,795.58
• Spring 1 2026: $222,478.86
• Spring 2 2026: Pending

Spring 2 applications have been submitted and are currently under review. Results will be reported March 13, 2025!

All applications are evaluated according to the SORF Funding Standards 2025–2026.
