This summer program for high schoolers run by the College of Media at the University of Illinois will give students hands- on experience about sports and entertainment media from every angle. The 360° Sports and Entertainment Camp, July 9--14, 2017, helps high school students develop skills and explore a wide-range of career paths in the media industry. They can personalize their experience with c

lasses and workshops that interest them the most in the fields of journalism, advertising or media and cinema studies. Run by the University of Illinois College of Media, they will learn from faculty and pros in the field how to:
Create multimedia content, including blogs and podcasts
Operate drones and GoPros for video production
Use augmented reality and photography to tell a story
Approach sports play-by-play reporting and broadcasting
Write first-person commentary and film reviews
Participate in a mock press conference
Brand themselves and their ideas
