It is our goal to have the full names, correct dates of death and places of death for each Brother.

5. Alumni Association Communication. Please find below some "bullet points" on this topic.

A. Our VSU Chapter has initiated approximately 800 Brothers since 1967.
B. We currently have approximately 205 good email addresses for VSU Delta Chi Alumni Brothers.
C. There are approximately 50 VSU Delta Chi Alumni Brothers for whom we once had good email address but those formerly good email addresses no longer work.
D. If you do not see Alumni Brothers for whom you have a good email addresses as recipients of this update please let me know and send me a good email address for them.
E. Out of the 205 VSU Delta Chi Alumni Brothers for whom we have good email addresses only 59 of 205 have returned Alumni Information Request sheets.
F. After some hard digging and with the help of some Alumni Brothers I am happy to have uncovered the whereabouts of some very important Delta Chis who are now a part of our email list namely: Dan Chadwick, David Bulloch, Truitt Martin, Terry Carter, John Worcester-Holland, Randy Brinson, Marty Bishop, David Hobby and Edd Hanahan. Some of you may have known where these "guys" have been for the last thirty years but I didn't.

6. Alumni Association Planning, Funding and Organization.

A. Our next planned event will likely be in the early Spring of 2012 in Valdosta. The Alumni Board of Trustees had discussed holding another "Meet and Greet" type event aimed at Alumni Association members who reside in the greater Valdosta area. If the event takes place it will however be open to any and all Alumni Association Brothers. The Chapter, the Alumni Association, and the ABT need support and participation from all Alumni Brothers but also very importantly from Alumni Brothers who reside near the Chapter.

B. When reading the Alumni Association Financial update attached to this email you will note that the major source of funds in 2011 were derived from the Alumni Association voluntary dues program. As a reminder: 1. Alumni dues are voluntary 2. Alumni dues are banked separately and under the control of the Alumni Board of Trustees 3. Any siginifcant Disbursement of Alumni Association funds is never made without prior consultation with the Alumni Association members i.e. the renovation of 202 East College.

C. Alumni Association Voluntary Dues will again be due beginning January 2012. During 2011 we had 35 Alumni Brothers participating in the dues program. Some opted to pay their annual dues all up front, some paid quarterly and some paid monthly. The timing is up to you.

D. Any ideas on how to improve the Alumni Association are welcome. Those of us currently active in planning, communicating and financing the Alumni Association need your feedback and support.

News Letter from the VSU Delta Chi Fraternity Alumin Association:
11/20/2911

Dear Alumni Brothers,

This update will cover a lot of ground and it may be the last update for this year. I will therefore go ahead and get the important things out of the way.

From the Alumni Association and myself here is wishing and hoping that Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year bring a lot of joy and prosperity to each and every one of you and your families. Hope everyone can and will be with their families during these special times of the year.. So HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING, A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

2. The Chapter. As a general statement things with the Chapter are going well and running smoothly. The House and grounds are being maintained well. The Chapter has positive cash flow and all bills are being met and paid on time. The Chapter is up to date on IFC dues and on all short term assessments from National. The long term debt reduction schedule with National is also being met in all aspects. All rooms at 200 East College and 202 East College are under lease through July 2012 with the exception of two at the main House. At the end of December we will lose outgoing "A" Wesley Kostovetsky to transfer. We are working on getting this room under lease as soon as possible. Outgoing "F" Daniel Dollar may leave the House at the end of December per his current lease due to graduation. There is however a chance he may stay in Valdosta after graduation and continue living at the House. This occupancy situation is also being monitored.

The Chapter held new officer elections last month. The new slate of officers is Codee Burton "A", Kyle Stopek "B" Austin Cobb "C", Matt Thompson "D", Jarrod Baskin "E" and Chip Bowen "F". The previous Executive Committee members will allow the new officers to shadow them thru the remainder of this semester and the new slate will take over in January 2012.

Just a word about the outgoing Executive Committee Wesley Kostovetsky "A", Justin Yanushefski "B", Kyle Stopek "C", Sean Earley "D", Codee Burton "E" and Daniel Dollar "F". As far as I am concerned this group of Officers toed the line and kept "the ship" afloat during one of the most critical and volatile periods in the history of our Chapter at VSU. They deserve thanks and recognition from all of us. Their understanding of "In the Bond" speaks for itself. Good job men.

The Chapter is in the planning stage for it's Spring semester Softball Tournament fundraiser. This one is important and the Chapter will be seeking SPONSORS and signing up teams for same early in the new year. If anyone would like more information on how to assist the Chapter in this effort or become a sponsor please contact me. I will then direct you to one of the Chapter Fundraising committee members. However if you are in contact with the Chapter officers please contact them directly.

The Chapter's annual semi-formal Pl***oy Ball was held last month at a downtown Valdosta restaurant and was attended and enjoyed by all active Chapter members.

3. Attachment to this update: Alumni Association Financial report

Guy Ervin, financial director of the Alumni Board of Trustees, has prepared a summary of funds taken in and disbursed by the Alumni Association as of October 31, 2011 of this year. The report is submitted to the entire Alumni Association in the spirit of openness and Brotherhood we obliviously want to promote. It is important to remember two things when reading this report. Our major source of funds is derived from the Alumni Association voluntary dues program. You can read more about that later within this update. Secondly we have not yet settled and paid for the renovation cost of 202 East. This is mentioned as a footnote within the report. Should you have any questions please contact Guy or me at any time.
