Huge congratulations to the Co-Cadet Athletes of the Winter/Spring Banquet! Our very own Offshore and Dingy Sailing Team Skipper, Kyle Collins was honored this award last week at the Banquet. Cadet Collins has ‘driven’ the Offshore Team into many recent victories including bringing home the John F. Kennedy Memorial Trophy and The 2022 Port of LA Harbor Cup Title. Cadet Collins has also helped orchestrate and lead top five results in over ten dingy regattas this academic year.

The sailing team as a whole could not be more proud of our Co-Captain and we are all excited to continue to watch his exceptional journey! Congratulations Cadet Collins and a huge thank you from the team!

The team would also like to congratulate Alicia Porter on her award! Cadet Porter ended the academic year as the league’s top overall rebounder and was ranked number 3 among all Cal Pac Players!

One final congratulations to Cal Maritime’s Co-Cadet Athletes of the Winter/Spring!!! ⛵️ 🏀 💙💛

Welcoming “Heather”, Cal Maritime’s new TP52!! Some members of the Offshore Sailing Team had the honor of presenting the new boat to President Cropper and Athletic Director Yoder, as well as participating in her renaming ceremony.

The sailing team is ecstatic for the opportunities to come on Heather and want to give a huge thanks to President Cropper, Athletic Director Yoder, and the Cal Maritime Foundation in its entirety. This racing boat would not be with the Cal Maritime Sailing Team if not for the huge help from these supporters!

Another thanks to our Offshore Coach Captain Dybvik, and key sailing team members Kyle Collins, Brock Paquin, Justin Zmina, and Jacob Fisker-Andersen for their constant effort and work for the team!

Congratulations to our graduated seniors, Ryan Schack, Emi Stephanoff, and Storm Brown. The Cal Maritime Sailing Team couldn’t be more proud of our teammates and were all so excited to see what awaits them around the corner! We wish them fair winds and following seas while at work but breeze and fun seas while racing! Thank you for all the time, commitment, hard work, and of course, great memories you three have given the team! We will miss you! ⛵️💛💙⚓️

Thank you Tiburon Yacht Club for hosting the Behren’s Memorial Yacht Club this past weekend and letting the Cal Maritime Sailing Team participate! The team had an amazing time sailing on a J105, The Natural Blonde (thanks to Cal Maritime alumni Dennis and Bill). We can’t wait to get out on the water again and hopefully sail at TYC in the near future as well!

Cal Maritime Sailing Team celebrated Cesar Chavez Day by having the JV Sailing Team tryouts! Great day out on the bay with some new, returning, varsity, and recently vaccinated members (thanks to Cal Maritime)!!! We’re excited to have some new teammates and move some players up to the Varsity squad! Looking forward to more days on the bay and hopefully some real racing soon!

This year has been financially challenging, thankfully there are some great opportunities out there to financially support your education.

The Cal Maritime Foundation Scholarships application only requires one essay for you to be considered for all of the financial support opportunities provided through the foundation!

Current cadets should APPLY BY January 29th.

It's been a quiet semester around here, but things are about to heat up and we are ready to get to it!

Yesterday, early decision applicants were notified of their admission decisions. We can't wait to announce the newest members of our team!

For everyone else, the application deadline for Fall 2021 has been extended until January 15th!
