Here are some words of advice from the student, and ways EOPS has helped them:
To all transfer students: never underestimate yourself or your story. College can be difficult, exhausting, and sometimes discouraging, but keep going no matter what. Ask for help, use your campus resources, stay focused on your goals, and believe that your hard work will pay off. Growth takes time, and every setback is part of the journey. Stay humble, stay kind, and never stop dreaming big. Your future is worth fighting for. Si se puede!
EOPS has made a meaningful impact on my educational journey by supporting me academically, financially, and personally throughout college. As a full-time nursing student, balancing school, responsibilities, and challenges was not always easy, but EOPS guided me every step of the way. They provided counseling, tutoring, encouragement, and resources that helped me stay motivated and succeed in my classes. They also helped me financially with books and even supported me with my cap and gown for graduation, which meant so much to me. Their kindness and belief in me helped build my confidence, leadership, and determination to continue pursuing my dreams of transferring to USC and becoming a healthcare professional who gives back to the community.
