IDEAS is a page that has housed numerous Economic Workforce Development Grants based out of Los Angeles Valley College and focused on providing a bridge between education and employment. IDEAS is meant as an unofficial resource for LAVC's goal is to provide curriculum alignment between K-12, community colleges and four year institutions in the fields of ICT (which includes CSIT and CAOT) and Digital Media (which includes broadcasting, cinema, media arts, graphic arts, music, etc.), which in the Los Angeles area is largely centered on entertainment. Even though there are no grants currently supporting this effort, numerous free workshops, seminars, and learning opportunities are still promoted on this page. Further, we provide a forum for students who have graduated to talk about their past and current projects as well as post potential jobs they may have coming up on their own productions or companies they now work for. Some of the grants that IDEAS has worked on in the past include LA HI-TECH, a $15MM grant housed at Pasadena CC and including LAVC, LACC, LA Mission, Pierce, Southwest, and West. ICT & Digital Media LA is being operated out of the same space as IDEAS and still offers the one-on-one career advisement and strategies under the previous regional center. Moving forward, we hope to keep students, graduates, and incumbent workers provided with knowledge of opportunities available in the entertainment industry.

I believe it is important for anyone involved in entertainment to pay attention to what is happening with AI... it is currently following almost the exact trajectory of streaming! especially the exhubertent ebullience surrounding very troubling metrics.
