Learning About Life Events

There are many reasons why you may need to add or remove a dependent midplan year from your health plan or other flexible benefits. This may be due to the birth of a child, a marriage, or a loss or gain of other coverage. These mid-year changes are referred to as Life Events. This process used to be accomplished with a Family Status Change Form, which needed to be filled out and sent back to the benefits team. We wanted to make the process easier, which is why Life Events are now done through Employee Space.

The Life Events module on Employee Space allows you to add or remove dependents after a life event. A list of Life Events and what changes can be made is available on the BHR Website https://bhr.sd.gov/benefits/forms-documents/index.html. Instructions for learning how to complete a Life Event on Employee Space are also available https://bhr.sd.gov/benefits/forms-documents/LifeEventsEnrollment.pdf.

Emails concerning life events will come from noreplycloudnotification@
infor.com. Please do not delete emails from this address.
