Learn from Go See Campus how to plan campus visits to colleges based on two different strategies: dates you have available and activities you want to attend.

April of Junior Year

This month, consider taking campus visits over spring break. Before you go, research whether the colleges will be holding classes or if they are out on holiday. Seeing a school while students are on campus will give you a more realistic experience. Don't forget to follow-up after your college visits!

April is also a good month to look ahead to senior year and to decide which courses you will take. Typically, you should choose classes that challenge you but that still allow you to learn and grow. Your high school counselor may be able to guide you in the process.

While you're at it, consider scheduling your SAT or SAT Subject Tests. Early registration can help you avoid late fees. Take a look now at the College Board website for details.

Who are our Coaches?

All of our Coaches have, on average, over 20 years of experience working with students in higher education. They have worked in all areas including admissions, financial aid, advising, and student life as professors and as deans. They have a passion for higher education and working with students. While each student is assigned an individual Coach to work with one-on-one, the Coaches work as a team to provide the best support possible for each student. In addition, they conduct training meetings to discuss changes in higher education to ensure they are all aware of any updates that may occur.

How do the Coaches work with students?

Each month, the Coach will send out recommendations for the month along with two additional emails based on the individual student. In addition, Coaches respond to all emails and are willing to schedule a phone or online meeting, by request. Coaches will reply to students within 48-72 business hours. The student, parents and Consultant are copied on all emails from the Coach. Students are expected to reply to every email a Coach sends, even if it is to just let the Coach know they received the email.

The HIFE College Planning Coaches are what truly sets our program apart from
others. On average, our Coaches have over
20 years of experience in higher education teaching, as admissions counselors, and career / academic advising. The Coach will take the time to get to know the student and create a plan just for them so they are fully prepared for college. This personal approach is the reason why 97% of high
school graduates enrolled into college after going through our College Coaching
program! The HIFE Coaches will work with
all students wanting a college education in an effort to successfully decide on careers and majors, prepare for attending college, applications, selecting the best college, and the financial-aid process.
