On the eve of one of the most tragic days in our nation's history, we wanted to share a special story with our VVC community. VVC student Reggie Cervantes was at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. She received a call to respond. She was an EMT. She arrived as the South Tower came crashing down. During Season 1 of our Ramplifi Podcast, she shares her story.

❤️ 25 Years Later. We Remember. We Honor. We Stand United. ❤

As Victor Valley College prepares to host the official High Desert remembrance event for the 25th Anniversary of September 11, nearly 300 students and community members continued a cherished tradition over Labor Day weekend. 🌹

For three consecutive mornings beginning at 7:00 a.m., volunteers gathered on the upper campus beside the "United We Stand" September 11 Memorial to place nearly 3,000 American flags, each representing a life lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001. 🙏🗽🕊️

Their dedication transformed the hillside into a powerful display of remembrance, sacrifice, and unity, ensuring that the lives lost in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

Join us as we come together to reflect, remember, and honor the heroes and victims whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

🎉 First Celebration: The first Labor Day celebration took place on September 5, 1882, in New York City.

🏭 Industrial Roots: Labor Day grew out of the labor movement during the Industrial Revolution, when many Americans worked long hours in difficult and often unsafe conditions.

✍️ Federal Recognition: Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894, recognizing the hard work and contributions of workers across the nation.
