Dr. Jessica Horne's work reflects a deep commitment to student success. She received the 2025 Alumni of the Year Award from Savannah Technical College for her distinguished career in higher education.
A 2014 graduate of Savannah Tech, Dr. Horne earned her Associate in Business Administrative Technologies. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from Columbia College, followed by an M.B.A. & a D.B.A., both from South University, & was selected for the 2024 AI-ALOE Teaching Fellows program through Georgia Tech.
Dr. Horne's career at Savannah Tech marked the beginning of a professional journey that led her to Savannah State & Georgia Southern before joining Southeastern Tech in 2023.
"I've been blessed to work across multiple institutions serving students, supporting academic growth, & giving back to my community. Education is not only my career. It is a passion & a purpose that motivates me daily," said Dr. Horne.
Dr. Horne serves as the Phi Beta Lambda advisor at Southeastern Tech. She also founded The Pantry at Southeastern Tech, an initiative created to address food insecurity & provide essentials to students during times of need. Dr. Horne remains actively engaged in leadership roles with the Georgia Association of Women in Higher Education & serves on the advisory committee for programs at Savannah Tech.
Students may enroll in Dr. Horne's Business Technology or Business Healthcare Technology programs online any semester.
