Celebrated one of our prestigious alumnus, Anthony Silvestri, with a seminar in his name! This years Silvestri Speaker was Dr. Claudia Turro from The Ohio State University, and Editor of JACS. The Silvestri family has also generously supports our Undergraduate research efforts, over the years, and to celebrate this we had our first student poster session/reception hour after the talk!!

Congratulations to Anthony DeAngelo ('26 Biochemistry)! Anthony was one of six students honored as Falvey Scholars for the 2026 academic year in recognition of his thesis, “Tuning Photocatalytic Activity: Monometallic Ruthenium Complexes for Aromatic Alcohol Oxidation.” Anthony carried out the work in the lab of mentors Drs. Jared Paul and Scott Kassel. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
