BETTER BLAZER DINING 🚨

We heard you, and we're bringing you more flexibility, more flavor, and more ways to fuel your day – whether you live on campus, off campus, or commute!

Here's what you need to know:

🏠 Live on campus? Choose from our 19, 14, or 10 Meal Plans – each one includes Blazer Bucks for snacks, coffee, and casual meals!

🚗 Live off campus or commute? We've got three flexible options for you:

1️⃣ Block Meal Plans – Best for regular diners. Grab a 150, 100, or 50 meal block to use anytime, all semester long at the TDC. No weekly limits, no stress!

2️⃣ Pay-as-You-Go – Perfect for occasional visits. No meal plan? No problem! Pay with cash, credit/debit, or add Blazer Bucks to your account anytime.

3️⃣ Traditional Meal Plans – Contact the Housing Office at 812-888-4225 or [email protected] if you're interested in a traditional meal plan.

☕ No meal plan? No problem! Pay as you go with cash, credit/debit, or add Blazer Bucks to your account anytime. Use them at the TDC, JSU Café, or LRC Starbucks!

Good to Know: Anyone residing off campus can dine on campus – you're always welcome at all our dining locations!

Pro Tip: Your Blazer Bucks balance rolls over from Fall to Spring!

Orientation Information!!!!

New Student Orientation and New Parent & Family Orientation will take place on Friday, August 14th, 2026. Check-in will be from 7:30-8:25 AM EST at the Red Skelton Theatre. The address for that is 20 W Red Skelton Blvd, Vincennes, IN 47591. Student and family orientation will run simultaneously. We are asking everyone to arrive at the Red Skelton Theatre and after checking in, and some short introductions we will divide everyone up from there.

Orientations are not required but are HIGHLY encouraged for everyone There is different information available that day than what was shared at the Trailblazer Kickoff you've probably already attended. After orientation we will be providing lunch at the Tecumseh Dining Center for everyone!

We are asking students and parents and families to pre-register for orientations. Students you may register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/14iBzWUscWwOv6h9GgHgPCHgN5PLcvM6Jm_5eDcyy32o/edit

Just some useful information as we get closer to the start of the year.

If your student needs to purchase their parking permit they can do that a couple of ways. They can either go to the VU Police Department (located at corner of 2nd and Center Streets) and purchase one in person. Or they can order it online at vupd.thepermitstore.com. After they are ordered online when they are ready they can be picked up at the VU Police Department.

If your student still needs to get a student ID they can do that online. They will need to go to their VU-x account and search for the card titled "Upload Student ID Photo". A second window will open and walk them through the process. Once they are ready, they can picked up in person at the Student Financial Services Windows that are located in the Welsh Administration Building.

Hope this helps!

We are getting several questions about Housing Assignments and billing. We would like to address those here.

The first round of housing assignments went out July 15th. More will be going out within the next week. Students are welcome to call the Housing Office at (812) 888-4225 to check on their specific status.

As for billing information. The first round of bills went out earlier this week and will be updated every Friday after that. Bills are only dispersed once a student is enrolled in classes for the semester. For more questions regarding billing please reach out to the Bursar's Office via email at [email protected] or by phone at (812) 888-4244.

Hope this helps!

For anyone needing move-in information, here is a flyer from our newsletter pertaining to the residence halls and apartments. We are also posting this because it stated that apartment move-ins need an appointment, but they do not!

No appointments are needed for apartment move-ins in August. Thanks! Contact Housing with any questions!
