Bro. George Washington Carver was a pioneering agricultural scientist, inventor, and educator who revolutionized Southern farming practices in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Carver dedicated his life to uplifting Black farmers through education, innovation, and economic empowerment.
He is best known for promoting crop rotation and introducing alternative crops such as peanuts, sweet potatoes, and soybeans to restore soil depleted by cotton farming. Through his research and practical bulletins, Carver provided hundreds of uses for agricultural products, helping create new economic opportunities for struggling farmers across the South.
